I highly recommend Burlington Violin Shop and their rental program.

They will measure you for the correct size violin (this is dependent on arm length) as well as give you the chance to enroll in their rent-to-own program.
Because of how quickly children grow- I don't recommend purchasing an instrument until you are in the full size violin (unless you have several siblings that you will be passing it down to.)
